We’re excited to introduce the newer and more advanced version of mEdge version 4.0.04 — our Android-based operating application built to streamline and automate service operations. Along with the new UI enhancement of our Cloudtrac platform.
Designed to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and real-time visibility, the upgraded mEdge takes automated service management to the next level. This latest version is focused on delivering a smarter, faster, and more intuitive field experience for engineers, managers, and enterprise teams.
With improved performance, enhanced UI/UX, deeper automation capabilities, and stronger system integrations, the new mEdge ensures:
Faster task execution and reduced manual intervention
Real-time data capture and intelligent validations
Improved workflow tracking and service transparency
Seamless coordination between field teams and central operations
This release marks the beginning of the 4.x series with a major UI and branding refresh for mEdge. The objective is to improve design consistency, modernize the visual style, and prepare the platform for future enhancements while retaining existing workflows for smooth user adoption.
Improved Autocomplete field spacing -> After the 4.x UI changes, Autocomplete fields were not rendering spacing correctly. This update improves the layout to ensure proper alignment and readability.
Enhanced in-app upgrade process ->.
The upgrade mechanism has now been improved, enabling users to download and upgrade the mEdge application directly within the app, ensuring compatibility with modern Android security requirements.
Previously, when Ticket IDs were long, they overflowed the layout in the Task View screen. The layout has now been updated to properly handle longer Ticket IDs.
New mEdge color branding and logo
Gradient toolbar, splash screen, and login screen updates
Task List, Form, and Details screen theme consistency improvements
Status update Floating Action Button (FAB) with icons and colors
Media rendering fixes in History
Service report download issue fixed
Synchronization & Stability Improvements
This release focuses on improving background synchronization stability and media upload reliability.
Due to Android version upgrades (Android 12 and above), stricter background execution policies caused the offline auto-sync functionality to stop working properly. Users previously had to manually trigger synchronization inside the mEdge application.
This version resolves those limitations and improves the overall reliability of offline data handling.
Cloudtrac enhancements with the new UI
We are excited to announce the next evolution of Cloudtrac, featuring a comprehensive UI overhaul and new AI-enhanced capabilities. We believe that powerful enterprise applications should be more than just functional—they should be intuitive, beautiful, and effortless, and this update is designed to streamline your workflow.
Objectives
Improve offline update handling
Prevent thread termination during media uploads
Modernize background synchronization using Work Manager to support newer Android versions
Restore reliable auto-sync functionality without requiring manual synchronization
It also focuses on form usability improvements, application upgrade reliability, and UI stability in task views.
